The Taht Bedroom was designed with inspiration from Mardin’s summer nights sleeping on terraces under the stars. The traditional furniture of Mesopotamia, the Taht, symbolizes the lifestyle of the region with cotton mattresses and white cloths placed on a wooden frame. The view on the terraces in the mornings resembles sailboats at sea. Its canopy bed carries details from Mardin’s architecture and combines tradition with modernism with its soft wood texture. The arch details on the cabinets, mirrors and lampshades bring the elegant culture of Mardin to living spaces. Each piece offers an elegant transition from tradition to modernism.
